Activity Description

Franschhoek is a small town with a long memory. This half-day ride takes you through it properly — past the Huguenot Monument, along the oak-lined main road, and out onto the quiet farm lanes and gravel tracks that most visitors never see.

Your guide sets an easy pace. This isn’t a race and it isn’t a training ride; it’s a chance to get the valley under your wheels and hear the stories that go with it — who settled here and why, how the vineyards ended up where they are, and which mountain is which.

We stop at two wine farms along the way. The views are yours to enjoy at no extra cost; if you’d like to taste, we’ll book it in for you when you reserve. Some guests come for the wine, some come for the ride. Both work.

Mountain bikes and helmets are provided, and we carry water and a repair kit. If you can ride a bike, you can do this tour.
